Fission plastic allows for the Time-Lapse to be molded in much lighter weights while bringing the increased level of GYRO® that only Fission can bring. The result is a gyroscopically enhanced Time-Lapse that can be thrown by a wider variety of arm speeds. However, Fission can be more difficult to get up to speed for lower power players.

A good rule of thumb is that Fission, especially in drivers, adds an extra 10g to perceived weight - making a 165g driver fly like you'd expect a 175g one to, only with added distance from being a lighter disc. This leads to lighter Fission discs maintaining the stability of their heavier counterparts, so consider trying out a lighter disc than you might normally.
